Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SafetyPathway (the "Service"), operated by Jacqueline Wastephen. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What SafetyPathway is — and is not

SafetyPathway is an educational training-needs assessment, continuing-professional-development (CPD) directory, and AI training coach for nurses and patient-safety professionals. It is not medical advice, clinical decision support, a diagnostic tool, or a substitute for professional judgement, employer policy, or licensure board guidance.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not submit Protected Health Information (PHI), patient identifiers, or confidential employer data into any field, including the AI Coach.
• Do not use the Service to harass, defame, or infringe the rights of others.
• Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, or disrupt the Service.
• Do not misrepresent your professional credentials in submissions intended for research aggregation.

5. AI Training Coach & recommendations

AI-generated responses and CPD recommendations are produced by third-party language models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Always verify clinical content against current guidelines, your employer's protocols, and the source CPD provider before acting on it.

6. CPD courses & affiliate links

Some links in the CPD Library are affiliate links — we may earn a commission when you enrol with a partner provider. This does not change the price you pay. We do not endorse, accredit, or guarantee any third-party course or provider. Course content, accreditation status, refunds, and CPD-hour eligibility are governed solely by the provider's terms.

7. Research use of de-identified data

By submitting an assessment or feedback you grant SafetyPathway a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use de-identified, aggregated data for research, publication, policy submissions, and platform improvement, as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The SafetyPathway name, branding, copy, code, methodology framework, and assessment instrument are owned by Jacqueline Wastephen. You may share links to public pages and quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not republish the assessment instrument or methodology without written permission.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SafetyPathway and Jacqueline Wastephen are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any clinical, employment, regulatory, or financial decisions made in reliance on the Service. Aggregate liability is limited to USD 100.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold SafetyPathway harmless from any claim arising out of your misuse of the Service, your submission of PHI or confidential data in violation of these Terms, or your violation of applicable law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access at any time for violations of these Terms or to protect the integrity of the Service.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
